Investing in the future of Mount Aspiring College

Enabling opportunities and expanding potential for all students at Mount Aspiring College.

OUR MISSION

The Foundation strives to empower every student at Mount Aspiring College to reach their fullest potential by focusing on equity, excellence and wellbeing within our school community.

Our goal is to raise the funds necessary to provide financial support to the school for the benefit of its students, staff, and whānau.

Through donations, business partnerships, events and endowments, we are building robust “now” and “future” fundraising strategies to provide meaningful contributions to the school.

WHY WE EXIST

To support an educational environment that empowers
students and strengthens a thriving community. By providing financial support beyond what the Ministry of Education offers, we ensure that the school can deliver more opportunities and resources.

Ways to support
Mount Aspiring College

Donations

MAC Foundation’s donations programme provides many ways to give, from one-time donations and specific projects to annual support.

Aspiring Endowment Fund

The Endowment Fund provides a reliable source of funding for long-term proposals such as extra teacher salaries, annual sports tournaments and school uniforms.

Business Partnerships

Inviting the Wānaka business community to support MAC Foundation through events, project-specific contributions and annual donations.

Investing in success

Here are just a few of the ways MAC Foundation with the help of generous donors and stakeholders is making an impact for students at Mount Aspiring College.

Enhancing Student Wellbeing Through Onsite Psychological Support

With limited Ministry of Education psychological support available in Otago and Southland, MAC’s decision to appoint its own educational psychologist has dramatically improved responsiveness to students’ behavioural and learning needs. The onsite presence enables consistent support for students, direct collaboration with parents and teachers, and the development of tailored, evidence-based plans that promote positive outcomes for both individuals and classrooms as a whole.

The Te Ūkaipō Scholarship

The scholarship offers the opportunity for a student to visit their marae, which might be in any part of New Zealand. Often students at MAC find it hard to connect with their marae (due to the geographic isolation) and this scholarship sets an expectation that the student will connect with their iwi.

Extra Resources & Support

Over the years, donations from MAC Foundation have been used to provide equipment, enhancing facilities.
